It is that time for the
Town of Branford to begin its Revaluation 2009. The
Town of
Branford
has entered into a contract with Vision
Appraisal Technology, Inc. to help the Town
complete this state requirement in a
professional and public related manner.
The Vision Appraisal
employees will be on board the first week of
September. Their office will be located in
the Town Hall within the Assessor’s Office.
At times when employees are in the field
doing inspections, measuring, interviewing
homeowners and reviewing parcels, the
Assessor’s Office will cover the Revaluation
Office for assistance. This way there is
always someone available to assist the Town
of
Branford’s taxpayers.
Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The
revaluation telephone number is 315-0618.
Inspections will be
starting the first week of September.
Employees from Vision will have a letter of
introduction from the Assessor’s Office, a
Vision employee card, a Town of
Branford
employee card and they will have their car
plate, make and model registered with the
Town of Branford Police Department. The
starting point for inspections will be
properties along the
East Haven town line, cove camps
and mobile home parks. Branford residents
should ask to see proper identification
before letting anyone enter your premises.

As this process continues
please touch base with us at anytime either
at the Revaluation Office, the Assessor’s
Office or the Town web page. The current
sales are on our Town of Branford web site plus your field cards. Field
cards will be updated for current owners mid
October. Date on the field cards is for
October 2007 to be finalized by January 2009
for permit work to parcels.
At approximately the end
of September we will have started a
Revaluation web page linked through our
Town’s web site to the Vision web page. We
encourage you to visit.

There will also be a
revaluation mailer to all Taxpayers mid
September. We hope to keep the public
informed through awareness of state
regulation and technology. It enables us to
give you more information than we ever could
before.

and Vision Appraisal look forward to working
